Acompanado, after being named as the women's indoor field performer of the week by the Iowa Conference, has earned her first Champpion of the Week honor. The freshman set a new school record in the long jump on Saturday with her mark of 5.65m. Acompanado's jump bested the previous school record of 5.52m set by Rochelle Moss in 1989. Her jump of 5.65m ranks seventh in Division III, first in the Central Region and first in the Iowa Conference. The Milwaukee, Wis. native continued her record-breaking day with a triple jump mark of 10.86m which ranks fifth all-time at Loras, sixth in the Central Region and second in the Iowa Conference.
