Buena Vista returns nearly their entire team from last season's 13-14 campaign. Their most important returner is senior Cole Darrow who led the team in scoring with 18.9 points per game. Dubuque is a very systematically sound team in the Iowa Conference. The Duhawks swept the Spartans last year thanks to a last second game-winner from
Nathaniel Smith back on February 12. This year, Dubuque returns Andre Norris, who started all 25 games for the Spartans and averaged 18.1 points per game, shooting .570 from the floor.
GORTON BEGINS 7TH SEASON WITH THE DUHAWKS ...

Gorton, along with the other head coaches in the Iowa Conference, believe the Duhawks have a great season in store for them. DUHAWKS LOOK TO BUILD UPON BIG WINS ...
Last season the Duhawks defeated two top-5 teams in Wheaton College and Illinois Wesleyan University. The wins were big for the Duhawk program and has provided momentum for the upcoming season.
Assistant Coach
Buddy Sodemann was quoted in saying, "I think beating those teams really helped our team's confidence for the season. We took those wins and built on them. We were able to beat other good teams in our league because of it."
This season, the Duhawks will travel to Bloomington, Illinois in December to square off against the Titans, who were ranked fourth in the D3Hoops.com poll.
