DECORAH, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras Women's Tennis team was bested in both of their matches on Saturday, Sept. 5, falling to Saint Benedict 8-0 and Luther 9-0. Both matches proved to challenge the young squad, which moved the Duhawks to 1-2 on the year.

In their first match of the day, the doubles combination of junior Jessica Dickhut and sophomore Sam Pietruszynski pushed their match at No. 1 to a super tiebreaker following  9-8 result. Unfortunately for Loras, they could not carry the momentum with them, falling 7-2 in the tiebreaker.

The case of tough lock continued for Loras in their second match of the day and second match in Iowa Conference play. From the very start, Luther took control of the match and never looked back, cruising to the 9-0 win.
