PELLA, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's tennis team concluded its weekend road trip on Saturday with a win against Simpson before falling to Central. Sophomore
Emma Cooke improved to 11-2 on the year in singles, winning both of her matches.
HIGHLIGHTS - SIMPSON
- The Duhawks opened Saturday's dual with a clean sweep of the doubles matches, highlighted by an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles by Cooke and junior Ayla Graziano.
- At No. 3 Doubles, junior Rachael Molidor and freshman McKenna Craff battled to a 9-7 win.
- Loras won five of the six singles matches, including four of the five in straight sets.
- Senior Kylie DeWees recorded her first win of the season at No. 1 Singles, edging Simpson's Kelli Greiner, 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.
- Craff improved to 8-5 on the year with her win at the No. 4 spot, 6-2, 6-2.
HIGHLIGHTS - CENTRAL
- The Duhawks fell behind early in the dual against the Dutch, dropping two of the three doubles matches.
- Molidor and Craff recorded the lone win at No. 3 doubles, 8-5, improving to 3-1 as a pair.
- Senior Jessica Dickhut won at No. 2 singles over Emma Grace Walter of Central, 6-3, 6-1.
- Cooke grabbed her 11th win of the season at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-1.

Loras concludes the regular season at home on Wednesday against Wartburg. Prior to the match, DeWees and Dickhut will be honored for their careers in the Purple & Gold. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m.
