ALL-TIME SERIES RECORD AGAINST CENTRAL
The Duhawks are out to a 64-29 advantage over Central throughout their storied history, dating back to 1915-1916 season. In their first meeting, Loras was victorious by a final score of 29-18.

LAST TIME AGAINST CENTRAL
Loras suffered a road defeat in an early season matchup against the Dutch, losing 72-61 despite taking a one-point lead into halftime. VanWambeke and Grcic weren't their usual selves against Central earlier this season, combing to score 34 points on 9-of-30 shooting from the field. The Dutch used the hot shooting of bench scorer Kyle Smith to defeat the Duhawks, as his 22 was the game-high.

SCOUTING THE DUTCH
Central opens the week with a 15-8 record before traveling to Dubuque for each of this week's games. The Dutch rely heavily on the play of junior Colby Taylor, who leads the team in scoring at 20.3 points per game. Central leans so heavily on Taylor in the starting line-up that their other double-digit scoring performers come off the bench. They'll need much more than Taylor to best the Duhawks however, who made Buena Vista's Nick Clark (20.0 ppg) look pedestrian last weekend, limiting Clark to 13 points in the loss. If necessary, the Dutch will look to Kyle Smith to fill that role. Smith, who averages 11.8 points per game, has played consistently this season, typically shooting at a 40 percent clip from the field. As a team, the Dutch have succeeded on the offensive end, leading the conference in scoring at 83.6 points per game. Defensively, the Dutch lead the IIAC in total rebounding at a +6.6 margin, but are allowing opponents to score 77.1 points per game on average.

ALL-TIME SERIES RECORD AGAINST SIMPSON
Loras and Simpson draw at 52-all  in their all-time series, dating back to the 1927-1928 season. In their inaugural meeting the Duhawks were defeated by a final score of 29-18.

LAST TIME AGAINST SIMPSON
Simpson deal the Duhawks their first conference loss of the season following a 2-0 start by a final score of 78-60. Mirko Grcic turned in one of his best performances of the season scoring 25 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field. However, Loras was limited to six total scorers on the night. Three Storm athletes turned in top notch performances, with Sam Amsbaugh leading the way with 21 points. Ryan Skar and Dillon Gretzky combined to score 37 as the second and third scoring options.

SCOUTING THE STORM
The Storm were swept by the Duhawks last season, are much improved in 2016 under new Head Coach Brad Bjorkgren. Led by sophomore forward Sam Amsbaugh and senior guard Dillon Gretzky, Simpson holds a record of 14-9 down the final stretch of competiton. This season Simpson seems dedicated to the newfound "small ball" style of play, playing two listed forwards in a majority of their contests. At 6-foot-5 Amsbaugh will be the largest man on the court for the Storm a majority of the time, who in that case will have a tough time containing the size and length the Duhawks possess. Simpson has found ways to contain opponents this season however, allowing 72.9 points per game, ranking second in the Iowa Conference. The Storm pride themselves on turnover margin, leading the league with a +4.48 mark.

GEORGE TAKING OWNERSHIP OF STARTING ROLE
After providing energy off the bench for a majority of the season, freshman Demond George has staked his claim on a starting job. The freshman from Naperville, Ill. has started in the final eight games of Loras' non-conference schedule before transforming into one of the first off the bench since the turn of the calendar. George averages 20.7 minutes per game and accounts for 150 points on the season, while averaging 1.6 steals per game, which is tied for first on the team.

GRCIC ECLIPSES 1,000 POINTS
Senior Mirko Grcic is coming off one of the biggest weeks in his Duhawk career, eclipsing 1,000 career points and becoming the 39th member to do so in a Loras uniform. Against the Knights last week, Grcic tallied 21 points, including 19 in the first half. The Lake Zurich native picked up his play last week, leading the team in both scoring (20.0 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg). Grcic has been a force to be reckoned with this season, ranking fifth in the conference in scoring at 17.2 points per game and third in rebounding with 8.3 per game.

QUINN PROVIDES VALUE OFF BENCH
Junior Danny Quinn has been solid off the bench for Loras this season, serving as an energetic forward in the low post. The Park Ridge, Ill. native is strong on the boards, contributing 5.0 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game. Heading into this weeks contests against Central and Simpson, Quinn has tallied 115 total rebounds, 79 of which come on the defensive side and 36 on offense.

IOWA CONFERENCE ACTION: WEEK 6 RECAP
Loras split in Iowa Conference action last week, falling to Wartburg before defeating Buena Vista on Saturday. Against the Knights, Loras shot 43.1 percent from the floor, but surrendered 17 points off turnovers which led to its three point loss. Saturday's matchup with the Beavers was once again a close contest, as the Duhawks managed a 73-71 victory. Loras' defense stood tall, holding Buena Vista's high-powered offense to 39.3 percent from the field on 61 attempts. Nick Clark was held in check for the second time this season, finishing 5-of-16 for 13 points.

DUHAWKS FIND SUCCESS ON DEFENSIVE GLASS
This season Loras finds themselves ranked 18th nationally in defensive rebounds with 29.52 per game. The nations leader, Benedictine (Ill.) boasts a mark of 33.46 per game. Loras boasts three of the conferences top-15 defensive rebounders in Grcic (6.3), VanWambeke (4.5), and DiCanio (4.3).
