ALL-TIME SERIES RECORD AGAINST CENTRAL
The Duhawks own a 64-30 advantage over Central throughout their storied history, dating back to 1915-1916 season. In their first meeting, Loras was victorious by a final score of 29-18.

LAST TIME AGAINST CENTRAL
Loras lost each of their first two meetings with the Dutch this season, but hope to turn the tides in the first round of the Iowa Conference tournament. In their last meeting Central forward Austin Glawe torched the Duhawks to the tune of 28 points, a career-high. Glawe shot 6-of-8 from beyond the arc in his efforts. The Duhawks were led by junior Justin VanWambeke who put up a stellar 29 point performance. Following VanWambeke, senior Justin Schneider turned in a 10-point performance on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting.

SCOUTING THE DUTCH
Central finished the regular season with an overall record of 16-9 and were 7-7 in the Iowa Conference. The Dutch rely heavily on the play of junior Colby Taylor who leads the team in scoring at 20.3 points per game. Central leans heavily on Taylor, but boast solid secondary scoring options in Kyle Smith and Austin Glawe. Smith, who averages 11.5 points per game, has played consistently this season, although he has consistently shot below a 40 percent benchmark. Glawe terrorized the Duhawks in last week's matchup, scoring a career-best 28 points. Central heads into the playoffs with the second best offense in the conference, scoring an average of 82.7 points per game. Coupled with their defense, the Dutch have the best per game scoring margin in the conference. Offensively, the Dutch love shooting the three-ball having shot it 765 times from deep this season. However, that live or die mentality cost them in each of their conference losses. In the post, Central features the top rebounding and shot blocking as a team in the Iowa Conference.

KEYS TO SUCCESS
Loras junior Justin VanWambeke was the leading performer in each of the Duhawks two losses to Central this season. As of late however, teams have started planning for Loras' leading scorer, finding ways to take him out of rhythm. Establishing a secondary scoring option will be crucial for the Duhawks, who haven't fully figured out the Dutch defense this season. Senior Mirko Grcic will play a crucial role on Tuesday, having shot a combined 10-for-32 against Central in 2016. Grcic must assert his dominance to the level of his play against Simpson this season for Loras to establish consistent threats on the perimeter and in the post. Senior Justin Schneider and junior Danny Quinn will serve as a distribution target if Central opts for a double-team on Grcic. Off the bench, freshman Michael Mims and Demond George must continue to drain three-pointers. Shooting at a 47.4 clip from distance, Mims is the team's leading 3-point shooter, followed by VanWambeke at 45.6 percent and George at 41.2 percent.

VANWAMBEKE AND GRCIC FINISH TOP-5 IN CONFERENCE SCORING
Junior Justin VanWambeke and senior Mirko Grcic have arguably been the top scoring duo in the Iowa Conference this season, averaging 22.2 and 18.0 points per game respectively in conference action. VanWambeke finished second in conference scoring behind Andre Norris of Dubuque, who averaged 22.4 points per game. The play of Loras' duo has caused mismatches for opposing defenses as no Iowa Conference school has had success containing both VanWambeke and Grcic on the same night.

MASTERS OF THE OFFENSIVE GLASS
Junior Danny Quinn has been a mainstay in the Duhawk rotation this season, averaging 15.8 minutes per game throughout conference play. The Park Ridge, Ill. native has appeared in 53 games for Loras in his career and has been a force on the offensive glass in 2016. As a team, Loras ranked second in the conference with 131 offensive rebounds in conference play. Quinn led the way with 26 offensive rebounds in 14 conference match-ups. During conference play, Quinn was the fourth best offensive rebounder in the IIAC, hauling in 1.9 per game as a bench player. In total, Quinn finished with 42 offensive boards this season. In Saturday's game against Simpson, Quinn recorded five offensive boards, a new career-high for the junior.

MIMS LEADS CONFERENCE IN 3-POINT SHOOTING
Freshman Michael Mims has been quite the addition to this years squad, playing meaningful minutes at the guard position. Mims has gotten into the mix and has seen the court 21 times in his debut season. One specific asset that Mims brings to this team is his ability to shoot from distance. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa product leads Loras and is tied for the lead in the Iowa Conference in 3-point field goal percentage at 47.2 percent.

PREVIEWING THE IIAC TOURNAMENT
The University of Dubuque locked up the No. 1 seed with its 11-3 record in conference play this season. Both Dubuque and Wartburg have byes in the first round of the tournament and will play in Thursday's semifinal. A pair of first round contests kick off the tournament on Tuesday night. Loras hosts Central while Simpson hosts Buena Vista. The winner of the Loras/Central match-up will advance to face Dubuque on Thursday night, while the winner of Simpson/Buena Vista advances to face Wartburg.

THREE WINS FROM DANCING
As the No. 4 seed in this year's Iowa Conference Touranement, the Duhawks are three wins from making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2007-08 season. With as up and down as conference play was this season, anything can happen and just like Loras has shown at times this season, they can get hot and make its charge towards March.
