SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
With 11 different players seeing goals in the 2016 season, the Spartans are known for their balanced attack which features four players with 10 or more goals in their eight games. Junior midfielder, Kenny Hughes leads the attack with 22 goals and six free position goals. Aurora enters Saturday on a two-game winning streak, which features victories over Cornell and Wartburg.

MORE THAN JUST MAKING SAVES
Loras goalkeeper and sophomore Ashley McGee has taken strides to improve her game in her second campaign, evident by her 21 ground balls, which is tied for the team lead. McGee's active stick in the crease has disrupted opponents' offensive systems, which in turn has helped the Duhawk defensive unit as a whole. Her .434 save percentage ranks fifth in the conference, with the leader currently holding a .524 save percentage.

HIGH SCHOOL CLASSMATES TO COLLEGE TEAMMATES
Four members of the 2016 women's lacrosse squad hail from the same Chicago Catholic High School in Mother McAuley. For freshmen, Sabrina Almanza, Sarah James, Molly Johnson and Emily O'Keefe, Loras provided a wide range of reasons specific to each, but in the end, has allowed the four of them to continue their education together, both in the classroom and on the field.

SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
Dallas enters the weekend with a 2-6 record as one of the few Division III Independent teams. Prior to Sunday's contest against Loras, the Crusaders will face Carroll in Waukesha, Wis. on Saturday. Colby Madrigal and Lexi Leite lead Dallas in the scoring column, with each tallying 14 goals on the year. As a team, the Crusaders have converted on 8-of-22 free position attempts. On paper, Sunday should be a fairly balanced contest, as both Loras and Dallas both allow on average nearly 13 goals per game.

KUTSCH NAMED CHAMPPION OF THE WEEK
Senior Kaitlyn Kutsch and the women's lacrosse team opened their spring trip with a 20–14 win over Hilbert in Buffalo, N.Y. Against the Hawks, Kutsch tallied 10 goals, 18 draw controls and four ground balls to aid in the winning effort. Seven of Kutsch's 10 goals came via free position. She now leads Division III in free position goals, averaging 2.20 per game as of Monday, March 28. Through the first six games of the season, Kutsch leads the team in goals (24), tied for the team lead in assists (4) and draw controls (50).

HANSON LOCKED IN
After seeing significant success in her first season, sophomore attacker Sarah Hanson has elevated her game to a new level. Playing alongside Kutsch, who is responsible for 24 of Loras' 49 goals, Hanson has targeted all 17 of her shot attempts on frame, with 10 beating the keeper for a goal. As teams begin to build scouting reports around Kutsch, Hanson's elusive offensive play will become a factor in the Duhawks' success.

TIC-TAC-TOE
Six games into the 2016 season, Loras has earned 14 assists on its 49 goals. In comparison, the 2015 season as a whole saw the Duhawks collect 17 assists and a combined 10 assists in the previous two seasons. As the program grows, the skill level rises, which can be seen by the crisp passing on display this season. There's no surprise that the better a team can pass, the more dangerous they will be on offense.
