SERIES HISTORY: CORNELL
The Duhawks post a 25–15 record over the the Rams in their 23 years of competition. The teams first met in the 1993 season in which they split the doubleheader, each securing a win.

LAST MEETING VERSUS CORNELL
Loras was swept by the Rams last season falling 2–0 and 4–3 in the doubleheader. Cornell kept the Duhawk bats quiet in game one, holding Loras scoreless and limited the offense to three hits. Game two went to extra innings tied at 7-all. Miranda Chapman and Makaila Haase's home runs were not enough to top the Rams as they scored a run in the 12th to end the game.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
Cornell is 11–11 entering Wednesday's contest after sweeping Ripon on Sunday. The Rams took both games of the doubleheader via the mercy rule, tallying a combined total of 25 hits. Prior to Sunday's doubleheader, Cornell was averaging 6.85 hits per game. Cornell has managed to successfully convert the hits they record into runs. Cornell ranks second in the Midwest Conference in runs (125) and runs batted in (99). Sophomore Stephanie Xavier is leading this offensive effort for the Rams with 22 hits and 17 RBIs this season.

SERIES HISTORY: MILLIKIN
The Duhawks have faced Big Blue in two doubleheaders in the 2008 and 2014 seasons. Millikin owns the upper hand with an all-time record of 3–1 against Loras. The Duhawks' lone win came in their first matchup, with a 3–1 victory in game one.

LAST MEETING VERSUS MILLIKIN
The Duhawks and Big Blue last met in the 2014 season in Decatur, Ill. Millikin swept Loras 8–3 in game one and 10-2 in game two. The Big Blue utilized seven extra base hits between the two games including three home runs to create these deficits. The Duhawks struggled as they were out-hit 22–13 on the day.

SCOUTING THE BIG BLUE
Millikin has an overall record of 11–9 this year with a 6–0 loss earlier this season to fellow Iowa Conference competitor, Luther. The team is under the guidance of first-year head coach, Katie Tenboer, a Central graduate. The Big Blue returns one All-CCIW selection in sophomore catcher Alyssa Voegele. Voegele has a .954 fielding percentage with her 67 putouts and 16 assists behind the plate. A standout on the team this season is three-year returner Alyssa Visvardis. The outfielder ranks second in the CCIW in home runs with four and third in runs with 20.

SERIES HISTORY: SIMPSON
The Storm hold a winning record of 51–6-1 over Loras in these IIAC competitors' series history. The teams first met at the conclusion of the 1987 season in which the Duhawks split with Simpson, falling 6–5 in game one but bounced back to take game two, 8–6.

LAST MEETING VERSUS SIMPSON
The Duhawks traveled to Indianola last season for their conference doubleheader with Simpson. The Storm took both games by scores of 2–1 and 5–3. Dani Stromert led the team offensively going 3-for-7 with two runs and two RBIs.

SCOUTING THE STORM
Simpson has a 23–6 record this season with a 2–2 record in the Iowa Conference. The Storm is undefeated at home but winless on the road at 0–2. Simpson has performed well in the batter's box, tallying 25 home runs and 379 total bases on 938 total plate appearances, all marks that lead the IIAC. Simpson returned an All-Iowa Conference selection in the circle this year in Riley Fisher. The pitcher has a team-best ERA of 1.74 and is limiting opponents to a batting average of .211. She has also recorded 84 strikeouts. A second All-Conference returner for the Storm is sophomore Brianna Chaplin, who is hitting .383 with 15 RBIs and five home runs.

MAJEWSKI MAKING A STATEMENT IN THE IIAC
Freshman Nicole Majewski has showed no signs of her young age. Appearing in 22 games and making 50 at-bats, the freshman currently leads the Iowa Conference with a .500 batting average. The Chicago, Ill. native has also posted one double and two RBI's. In addition, Majewski leads the conference in on base percentage at .545. The Mother McAuley product is currently tied for fourth in sacrifice bunts with six.

BRIA LENTEN BRINGING THE HEAT
Sophomore Bria Lenten has made her presence well known this season, both at shortstop and behind the plate. Having started all 22 games on the season, she plays an integral role for the Duhawk offense. With an impressive 15 runs scored, 14 RBIs and 22 hits as well as 37 assists in the field and three double plays, Lenten is gearing up to be a leader for the Duhawks as they progress with conference play.

TOWNS CONTINUING GROWTH
Freshman Hannah Towns has appeared in 22 games this season, recording 49 at-bats. The freshman has 16 hits on the season including seven doubles and one triple. Towns has been effective for the Duhawks in pressure situations, such as the team's most recent game against Central. Her single in game one scored Briana Minet and Lauren Fritz, cutting the Dutch lead to 6–2, staving off the mercy rule.

TURNING HITS INTO WINS
The Duhawks have demonstrated that offensive success is a key to victory. All nine of their wins this season have come with 10 or more hits. On the other hand, all 13 of Loras' losses have come with less than 10 hits, showing the importance of capitalizing at-bat opportunities. The Duhawks have hit two triples this season, both at the beginning of the season. While triple production has died down, double production is on the rise. Loras hitters have recorded a double in each of the last 10 games.
