GLENDALE, Wis. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's tennis team improved to 4-3 in its non-traditional season with a 6-3 win over Alverno on Sunday. Sophomores
Rachael Molidor and
Ayla Graziano posted wins at No. 3 doubles before each went on to win their singles matches at No. 5 and No. 6.
LORAS HIGHLIGHTS
Aurora took a win at No. 1 doubles over sophomores
Kylie DeWees and
Sam Pietruszynski, 8-3. For the duo, their season record dropped to 1-4 after recently being moved up to the No. 1 spot.
Loras claimed wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles with the sixth win of the season for junior
Jessica Dickhut and freshman
Emma Cooke. The pair improved to 6-2 on the year with the win.
Sophomores
Rachael Molidor and
Ayla Graziano improved to 4-2 as a combination with their convincing 8-2 win.
The Inferno bounced back in singles play with wins at the top three spots, but a win from Cooke at the No. 3 spot got the Duhawks back on track. Cooke evened her record at 9-9 in her first collegiate season.
Pietruszynski's straight-set shutout at No. 4 (6-0, 6-0) brought Loras closer to the team win as she improved to 6-10 on the year.
The backend rally continued for Loras at No. 5 and No. 6 as Molidor and Graziano each added their second wins of the day. For Molidor, it was her fourth win of the season while Graziano jumped above .500 with her ninth win of the season, bringing her record to 9-8.

Loras will play its final match of the spring season on Sunday, April 24 against Wisconsin Lutheran. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
