Women's Tennis Eliminated in First Round of IIAC Tournament

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women'st tennis team saw its season come to an end on Friday, falling 5-2 to Central in the first round of the Iowa Conference Tournament to Central.

LORAS HIGHLIGHTS

Sophomores Kylie DeWees and Sam Pietruszynki posted the first win for the Duhawks at No. 1 doubles in a 8-4 victory, moving to 1-5 on the year.
Freshman Emma Cooke and junior Jessica Dickhut followed up with a win at No. 2 doubles in a 8-5 win, improving to 7-2 this season.
Loras' momentum switched quickly as the match transitioned into singles play.
Central turned around a 2–1 deficit to take four singles matches and claim the victory, 5–.
Loras finishes the season at 7-13, 2-5 under first-year head coach Chad Fenwick.
