SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers are in search of their first road win entering Tuesday's matchup inside the Rock Bowl on Bierie Field. Carroll utilizes a balanced attack, which is spread deep throughout its roster. Kailey Leahy leads the offensive attak with 16 goals on 33 shots on goal. Betty Koenig brings 10 assists this season along for the ride, leading her team in that category. Last weekend, the Pioneers benefited from a pair of goals from Leahy in the final five minutes to edge the University of Dallas, 11-10.

LAST TIME VERSUS CARROLL
With a healthy combination of offense and defense, the Duhawks walked away with a decisive 13-6 victory in the 2015 season. Seven goals from five different Duhawks in their first half allowed Loras to capitalize on scoring opportunities. The defense stood tall, allowing three goals in each half.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST CARROLL
After one meeting, the Duhawks lead Carroll in the all-time series, 1-0.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles are looking to end their three-game skid on Friday when Loras comes to town. Benedictine currently sits at 4-5 overall and 2-1 in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference. The Eagles rely heavily on the offensive combo of Samantha Link and Becca Gullet, who have combined for 55 goals this season. Link, who leads the team with 32 goals, has registered 56 of her 77 shots on target, good for a .727 percentage. In goal, Benedictine platoons Hannah Smith and Rebecca Berg in goal, with Smith starting six of the team's nine games.

LAST TIME VERSUS BENEDICTINE
A Duhawk comeback fell short in a heartbreaking loss to Benedictine in the 2015 season. Despite Benedictine establishing a 6-0 lead early in the first half, Loras fought back with four unanswered goals. Late back-to-back goals from Kaitlyn Kutsch brought the Duhawks to within one, but the surge fizzled and Benedictine held on for a narrow 8-7 victory.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST BENEDICTINE
Benedictine has won both matchups against Loras in program history.

NELSON TAKING CONTROL
Junior Hannah Nelson has shown consistent improvement since her first season donning the Purple & Gold. As a freshman, Nelson recorded 14 goals and 26 draw controls and in her second season, the Fenwick product tallied 17 goals and 32 draw controls. With an average of 2.35 draw controls per game this season, Nelson is on pace to set a career-high once again. She currently ranks second on the team in draw controls with 19 and third in goals (6).

HANSON BUCKLES DOWN AS DOUBLE-THREAT
Sophomore Sarah Hanson has become a mainstay in the Duhawk lineup in her second season. Hanson not only finds scoring opportunities for herself, but has devloped a knack for setting up her teammates. More impressively, the two skills go hand-in-hand for Hanson. In the 2016 season, every game in which Hanson scores, the sophomore has also registered an assist. Hanson is currently second on the team with goals (11) and is tied for the team lead in assists (5).

DOUGHERTY HITTING HER STRIDE
Freshman Molly Dougherty has elevated her game in her first season for the Duhawks. In Sunday's game against Dallas, Dougherty utilized a clean pass from Sarah Hanson for Dougherty's first goal of the season. After eight games, Dougherty has registered a .600 shooting percentage with shots on goal and six caused turnovers this season.

McGEE REACHING NEW HEIGHTS
The Duhawks have returned many players this season, including Ashley McGee, the starting goalie. McGee, a sophomore this year, has improved in her defense throughout the first half of the 2016 season. Her save percentage is up from .386 in 2015 to .423 in 2016 with 77 saves as the team enters the back half of the season.

JOHNSON FINDING THE NET
Freshman attacker Molly Johnson has started seven games this season and the last game against Dallas has shown that her goal scoring capabilities will help out her teammates. She was able to find the net twice in the previous game and looks to improve on her play for the rest of the season. Becoming a reliable option will help out the other leading scorers on the team for the future.

KUTSCH KEEPS SCORING
For senior Kaitlyn Kutsch, shouldering the load of the Loras offensive attack is something she has become accustomed to throughout her career. Kutsch, who has led the Duhawks in goals in each of the the last two seasons, is adding to her impressive career resume in the 2016 campaign.  Her 27 goals this season once again lead the team in this category and rank among the top-50 in Division III.  Additionally, Kutsch has now scored at least one goal in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season, with her last goalless game coming against St. Mary's on March 30, 2015.
