LINCOLN, Neb. (Duhawks.com) The Loras women's tennis team competed in two matches in Lincoln, Neb., topping Nebraska Wesleyan, 7–2, and Midland, 5–4. Sophomore

The Duhawks' first match of the day came against Nebraska Wesleyan marking the opening of the conference schedule for Loras. Sophomore
Emma Cooke moved to 5–0 in singles competition after defeating Madi Hinshaw in straight sets, 6–3, 6–2. Cooke was also victorious at No. 2 doubles along with freshman
McKenna Craff, improving to 4–1 in doubles competition after defeating Jaime Bridges and Victoria Van De Veer, 8–3.

Ayla Graziano improved to 4–1 in singles competition after defeating Oliva Neth in three sets, 3–6, 6–4, 10–3. After losing their doubles match against Bridget McKeegan and Torey Kogel of Nebraska Wesleyan, the combination of senior

Kylie DeWees bounced back with a 8–3 victory over Midland's Annie Allmand and Whitney Schutt.

Loras returns to Dubuque on Tuesday as they play host to Luther in an Iowa Conference match at 4 p.m. All of the Duhawks' home matches this fall will be played at Wahlert Catholic while renovations begin at Loras' tennis courts.
