Women's Lacrosse Handed MWLC Loss

MEQUON, Wis. (Duhawks.com) - The weekend road trip to Wisconsin continued for the Loras women's lacrosse team on Sunday, with the Duhawks suffering a 17-1 defeat at the hands of Concordia Wisconsin. Junior Sarah Hanson netted her 14th goal of the season in the loss.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
  • CUW raced out to an early lead, scoring the game's first goal in the opening minute. From there, Loras held the Falcons off the scoreboard for the next five minutes before Allison Kurek netted her first of the day.

  • As a team, Loras recorded 11 shots on goal in the first half with CUW goalkeeper making 10 saves.
  • The second half brought with it six more goals by the Falcons as the Duhawks fell to 0-2 in the MWLC, 17-1.
