Danny Weis continued his rampant start to the season at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a RBI double and a run scored while sophomore
Jake Oglesby blasted a pinch-hit two-run homer in the ninth.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
- With a man on second and two outs, Jacob Thumann doubled to center field to give the Knights the 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
- The Knights had the bases loaded in the top half of the third and brought home two runs via a single and a ground out.Â
- In the next half inning, senior Luke Leibforth hit an infield single that scored sophomore Austin Konagel before he was brought around after a double by Weis.
- Wartburg opened a significant lead in the top of the fourth, piecing together a four-hit, four-run rally, which began with a leadoff home run.Â
- The Knights tacked on two more runs to take a 9-2 lead, scoring in the sixth and seventh inning.Â
- In his lone at bat of the night, sophomore Jake Oglesby got two runs back for Loras in the bottom of the eighth with a pinch hit two-run home run to right field, cutting the deficit to five at 9-4, which was where the game ended.

- Oglesby recorded his first collegiate home run
- Weis has reached base safely in each of his last 16 games, the longest by and Duhawk this season
- The junior also passed the 50-hit mark for his career and has 27 this season
- Leibforth and Konagel each moved their hitting streaks to fiveÂ
- As a team, Loras was 5-for-14 with two outs at the plate, compared to 2-for-11 for the Knights
