Duhawks Tripped Up by Pipers

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's lacrosse team fell to Hamline on Sunday in league play, 13-3. Senior Anna Schwalbe tallied twice for the Duhawks, bringing her season total to 28.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
  • Loras struggled to contain the Hamline offense in the first half, conceding eight goals on 19 shots.
  • Each of the Duhawks' six shots on goal were stopped, resulting in an 8-0 score at halftime.
  • Junior Sarah Hanson opened the scoring for Loras with 17:50 remaining in the second half, tallying her 24th of the season.
  • Minutes later, Schwalbe cut the deficit to 10 at 12-2 with her 27th goal of the year.
  • With less than five minutes to play, Schwalbe once again found herself in scoring position and capitalized on a Piper turnover for her second goal of the day with 3:30 remaining in the match.
