MONMOUTH, Ill. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's tennis team concluded the regular season on Thursday with its 15th win, defeating Monmouth, 9-0. Sophomore
Emma Cooke notched her 20th win of the season, improving to 20-2.
HIGHLIGHTS
- At No. 1 doubles, seniors Kylie DeWees and Jessica Dickhut cruised to the 8-3 win and was followed up by a 8-2 win at No. 2 by Cooke and freshman McKenna Craff.
- Junior Rachael Molidor and freshman Patricia Patnode combined for an 8-0 win at No. 3 to complete the sweep for the Duhawks.
- Loras opened with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 3 and No. 6 by Cooke and Patnode.
- Dickhut recorded her 11th consecutive win and improved to 16-5 this season.
- Following suit, Craff also notched her 16th win of the season with a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 4.
- DeWees delivered the win at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-0. The Marion native is 7-3 in her last 10.
- Molidor brought the night to a close with her eighth consecutive win and 12th of the season, 6-3, 6-3.
UP NEXT
Loras travels to Decorah for the Iowa Conference Team Tournament and is scheduled to open against Dubuque on Friday.
