PELLA, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's volleyball team refused to let its five-set loss to MSOE carry over into Friday's finale, defeating Wisconsin Lutheran in three. Sophomore Kelly Boge recorded her 300th career kill and 100th career block on Friday, finishing with 20 kills and seven total blocks.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
-Despite hitting .342 as a team in the opening set against MSOE, Loras let a 14-12 lead slip away largely in part to a 6-1 run by the Raiders
-Sophomore Kayla Kinney's four kills in the second set against MSOE set the tone for the Duhawk offense, resulting in a 25-17 win
-The Raiders opened the fifth set on a 7-1 run before Loras managed to cut it to two at 9-7 with a 6-2 run
-With match point at 14-13, the Duhawks conceded four of the next five points and fell 17-15
-In the opening frame against Wisconsin Lutheran, Loras' offense ripped off 14 kills, led by junior Lindsay Lannen's four
-The Duhawks opened on a 7-0 run and never looked back, holding leads of 7-0, 10-1, 15-2, 20-6 and eventually 25-11
-In set two, Loras' 5-0 run midway through opened a 19-13 advantage, with three of the five points coming via attack errors by the Warriors
-Wisconsin Lutheran fought back with a 6-2 run to cut the Duhawk lead to two at 21-19
-The Warriors staved off set point for four rounds before Boge ended matters with a kill
-Trailing 12-11 in the third, Loras rattled off five straight points, which included a pair of service aces by junior Jenna LaCorte
-Once again, facing set and match point, Wisconsin Lutheran stayed alive for three points, but a kill by sophomore Michell Budden gave the Duhawks the win, 3-0

NOTABLES
-Senior Haley Bergan totaled 34 digs against MSOE, including 10 in set two … Friday marked the second time this season that Bergan has broken the 30-dig barrier and is average 6.04 digs per set over her last five matches
-Boge recorded her 300th career dig and 100th career block against Wisconsin Lutheran
-Sophomore Michelle Budden set a new career-high against MSOE with 17 kills on 57 attacks
-Kinney's six blocks against MSOE set a season-high

The Wahlert Catholic prep set season-highs in assists (48), digs (24), service aces (2) and blocks (2) in the 3-2 loss. Since moving to the primary setters' role, Roling has averaged 8.84 assists per set.

FRIEDMAN GROUP PLAYER OF THE GAME - KELLY BOGE
Boge made quick work of the Warriors, finishing with seven kills and three blocks, moving past the 300 kill mark and 100 block mark for her career. Through her first 44 career matches, Boge is averaging 1.85 kills per set and .62 blocks per set.
