STORM LAKE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's soccer team moved to 3-0-0 in league play on Wednesday night, taking three points from Buena Vista in a 4-0 victory.
Tigrio Huerta netted a first half brace, for his first double of his career.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• Loras started early and often with its offensive pressure and was rewarded in the sixth minute on
Chris Alfaro's first of the season … After his initial shot was blocked, he gathered his own rebound and sent home for what would prove to be the match-winner
• Huerta doubled the Duhawks' lead in the 24th minute, sending home a cross directed by
Ryan Pacholski
• In the 27th minute,
Mark Histed had an opportunity but was turned away by the goal post keeping the Duhawk lead at 2-0
• Huerta found the back of the net for the second time in the 43rd minute after going on a run from midfield … The sophomore raced past his defenders before finally beating the keeper to secure the brace

Alex Herrera had a break away chance in the 77th minute, but had his attempt squandered

Raudel Fierro was the third Duhawk to score pouncing on an errant pass and proceeded to dribble through the defense before stretching the net for his first goal on the year

• The Duhawks put 14 shots on goal throughout the night while Buena Vista managed one … Loras posted 21 of its 31 shots in the second half alone
• Alfaro, Huerta and Fierro each registered their first goals of the season
