DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's volleyball team completed the weekend with a sweep of Buena Vista on Saturday afternoon, improving to 2-2 in American Rivers Conference play. Once again, Jenna LaCorte paced the attack with 14 kills while adding 11 digs.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• Unlike what happened on Friday night, there was no slow start for Loras on Saturday, as the Duhawks jumped out to a 12-5 lead ... After a 4-0 run by the Beavers made it 20-19 Loras, the Duhawks closed out the set with Krystal Tranel at the line, ending on three consecutive attack errors by Buena Vista
• Combining the end of the first set with the beginning of the second, Loras tallied nine consecutive points, but the lead was quickly diminished after a 6-1 run by the Beavers ... The Duhawks then opened a 16-9 lead only to have it erased after Buena Vista's 12-6 run ... Tied at 22-all, LaCorte and Abby Allgeyer combined for kills on the next three points
• Once again, the big run proved to benefit Loras as midway through the third set, the Duhawks ripped off a 9-1 run, a majority of which kept Kira Busse at the service line ... There was little the Beavers could do to slow the moment, as Loras would win 25-16

NOTABLES
• Mazur needs two digs to reach 700 for her career
• Krystal Tranel finished her weekend with 44 digs, averaging 6.29 per set
• LaCorte's 31 kills led the Duhawks over the weekend with the Naperville North prep averaging 4.43 per set ... She's registered 10-plus kills in each of her last six matches, leading Loras to a 5-1 mark in those contests

Loras takes a quick hiatus from league play and hosts Edgewood on Tuesday night. The Eagles are 8-13 this season and lost to Concordia Chicago on Saturday, 3-0. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
