DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Duhawk men's basketball team staked claim to its third consecutive win this season, defeating Olivet 105-88, in the Loras Tip-Off Classic finale. The Duhawks dominated from deep connecting on 14 3-pointers, including eight in the first half.
 
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• The Comets took their first and only lead of the night after knocking down a 3-pointer on their first possession
• Jordan Boyd slammed home his first dunk of the night on a fast-break set up by the Demond George steal and assist
• The Duhawks locked down defensively in the last 10 minutes of the first half, not allowing Olivet to come within more than seven points of the lead
• Just like the start of the game, Josh Ruggles and Rowan McGowen connected on back-to-back threes to open the second half
• Following a quiet first half, Ryan DiCanio raised his game, scoring 14 second half points to finish with 20
• In a game that saw 47 personal fouls called, the Duhawks were stellar from the charity stripe converting on 25-28 attempts
