DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The No. 21-ranked Loras men's basketball team executed to near perfection on Saturday, totaling 36 assists on 48 baskets and finishing with a 70.8 field goal percentage.
Rowan McGowen was 10-of-10, including 6-of-6 from beyond the arc and finished with a +15 rating.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• McGowen got his hot night started early converting the first Duhawk basket of the contest 16 seconds into the game
• After taking a 16-15 lead, the Foresters did not hold a lead the rest of the night
• Loras utilized an 18-3 run to eliminate the Lake Forest lead and push the Duhawks' lead to 11 halfway through the first
• Lake Forest managed to narrow the deficit to six points but thanks to McGowen's back-to-back 3-pointers late in the first, the Duhawks went into the half with a 45-54 lead
