CLERMONT, Fla. (Duhawks.com) - After scoring 13 runs in the first inning against Colby, the Loras softball team rolled on to a 20-3 win on Monday, improving to 8-8 this season. In the opener, the Duhawks fell to UW-Stevens Point, 2-1.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED - UW-STEVENS POINTÂ
- Scoreless until the bottom of the third, Stevens Point powered a double to right center in the first at-bat which ended up scoring off of an error by the Duhawks
- In the top of the fourth,
Melanie Gerbig came up big with an RBI single to right center to tie the score at 1-1

Emily Reilly in the bottom of the fifth threw a four pitch, three-up three-down inning to hold on to the tie going into the sixth

- Colby managed to get two runs back in the top of the third with a pair of walks and a single
- Loras had no problems getting those runs back as Lenten had an RBI triple who later scored off a basehit by Fowler

- Loras drew a season-high eight walks as a team on Monday and set a season-high with 11 stolen bases
