AUBURNDALE, Fla. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras baseball team ran its winning streak to three on Friday, defeating Rhode Island College, 7-2, improving to 6-1 this season.
Nolan Even recorded his first career win on the mound while the duo of
Aidan Wojciehowski and
Erik Edminster held the Anchormen hitless over the final four innings.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
- The Anchormen started off the scoring in the top of the first with a two out, two-RBI single by Evan Moore … Those would hold as the lone runs for Rhode Island as the Duhawk kept them scoreless for the remaining eight innings
- Loras had a two-RBI double of their own by
Luke Fennelly in the bottom half of the second, tying the game at 2-all

Austin Konagel drove in the Duhawks' third run of the game later that inning off a sacrifice fly to center field
- Two innings later Konagel added to the Loras lead with a two-RBI single opening a four-run Loras advantage heading to the fifth inning

Danny Paluch singled to left field and made it 7-2 Duhawks
