LINCOLN, NEB. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras baseball team took care of business on Friday, winning both games of the doubleheader against Nebraska Wesleyan. Six Duhawks had two or more hits with
Cole Thompson smashing a home run, a triple and three RBIs.

Game One
- Scoreless until the bottom of the third,
Danny Weis put the Duhawks on the board with an RBI fielder's choice for the 1-0 lead
- Loras added another run in the bottom of the seventh off an RBI single by Thompson
- The Duhawks aided from the dominant pitching duo of
Brad Schwind and
Aidan Wojciehowski only allowing seven hits and striking out nine
Game Two
- Koester smashed a two-run home run to left field, giving Loras the early 2-0 lead
- The Prairie Wolves cut the deficit in half on an RBI triple … The Duhawks answered back immediately, plating two runs off a sacrifice fly and single
- In the bottom of the third Loras added four more runs off a pair of RBI singles from
Danny Paluch and
Richard Bryza and an RBI double by
Thomas Greffly
- Greffly and Thompson fueled another run-filled fifth inning as the Duhawks tallied five runs on four hits
- Another surge from the Duhawks in the bottom of the sixth started from a two-RBI double by Bryza along with an RBI single by
Michael Muto … Loras finished their scoring with a two-run home run from Thompson to left center
