DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras softball team swept crosstown rivals Dubuque in the seventh annual StrikeOut Cancer games, winning game one, 8-0, and used a late comeback in game two to win, 7-6.
Shannon Coyle was the hero in game two with the RBI single to drive in the tying run and later scored the game-winning run.

Game One

Game Two
- Loras carried over the momentum into game two, scoring four runs coming off a two-RBI single by
Bria Lenten and a sacrifice fly from Gerbig
- The Duhawks added a single run in the top of the third off another RBI single by Lenten
- Dubuque cut the lead to only three in the bottom of the third after an RBI single and an RBI double that plated two runs
- After a two-out triple that drove in two, the Spartans tied the game at five in the fifth inning
- Trailing 6-5, Coyle hit an RBI single to tie the game at six and later scored after a one-out error

Bailey Baldauf earned her first win of the season, throwing 1.1 innings allowing one run and striking out one
- Reilly returned for the seventh to lock down her first career save

- Fowler extended her hitting streak to 11 games, surpassing the team-best this season held by Lenten
- Following the win in game two, Loras improved to 10-2 this season when scoring in the first inning and 9-0 when leading after the first inning

- The Oak Forest, Ill. native knocked in one run and collected three hits in game two including the game-tying RBI single as well as scored the game-winning run
