DECORAH, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras softball team earned a split in Tuesday's doubleheader against No. 9 Luther, dropping the opener 2-0 before storming back to take the second game, 2-1.
Regan Wolverton finished game two 3-for-3 with a double and a scored run, breaking in to the 100-career hit club in the process.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Game One
- With runners in scoring position in both the second and third inning, the Duhawks were unable to get a run on the board
- The Norse in the bottom of the second hit an RBI double for the first run of the game
- Luther added to its lead with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourthÂ

Emma Corkill in 3.0 innings pitched allowed one hit while striking out one
Game Two
- A home run in the bottom of the third inning gave the Norse a 1-0 lead
- In the top of the fourth the Duhawks scored their first run of the game after
Ashley Lentine singled and went first to third on a double by
Hannah Towns, Lentine scored to tie the game off a fielder's choice by

- With bases loaded in the top half of the seventh, Wolverton scored the go-ahead and eventual run thanks to a Luther error

- Wolverton recorded her 100th career hit in the opener
- Fowler extended her hitting streak to 15 games after having four combined hits in today's doubleheader
- As a team, the Duhawks are hitting .314 this season with runners on base while opponents have been held to a .262 average
