CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader on Wednesday, falling to Coe by scores of 4-3 and 7-2.
Bria Lenten went yard for the eighth time in her career in the opener.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Game One
- The Duhawks made the most of a two-error inning by the Kohawks, thanks to Lenten's home run that put Loras ahead 3-0
- Coe was held scoreless for the first five innings before a three-run home run in the sixth tied the game
- In the bottom of the seventh, the first three hitters reached base for the Kohawks, loading the bases before a single drove in the winning run
Game Two
- Bailey Smith kept the Duhawk bats silent for most of her 6.0 innings in the circle, allowing one hit to Lenten in the fifth inning
- Trailing 7-0, Loras broke through for a pair of runs in the seventh, once again capitalizing on errors, scoring twice for the 7-2 final

- Lenten broke the 100-RBI mark for her career in her 147th consecutive start ... In each of her four seasons, Lenten has at least 22 RBIs
