Box Score CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras softball team was eliminated in the first round of the Iowa Conference Tournament by the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves in a 3-2 defeat on Friday, May 4. Bria Lenten finished the game 2-for-3 and scored one run.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
-Loras struck first in the second inning with Lenten on base ... Freshman Hadalyn Anderson doubled down the left field line allowing Lenten to reach home ... The three hit inning was cut short with only one run earned for the Duhawks
-The Prairie Wolves responded immediately by tacking two runs on the board to claim the lead ... Pitcher Emily Reilly was able to make it out of the inning with bases loaded
-Junior Hannah Towns leveled the game at 2-2 with a home run over the right field fence in the third
-After arriving at third base off of a wild pitch, the Prairie Wolves were able to get their pinch runner to reach home and take control of the game in the bottom of the fourth
-The Duhawks were held to only one hit for the rest of the game as they fell 3-2
