DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The No. 22-ranked Loras women's soccer team secured the first victory in the recently renovated Rock Bowl on Saturday night, handing UW-Eau Claire a 2-1 loss.
Brynn Jacobi netted the match-winner for the Duhawks for her first tally of the season.

• In the 38th minute,
Elizabeth Mills scored the first goal of the Duhawks season following the setup by
Genna Sobieszczyk on the end line
• Jordyn Schoen netted the equalizer for the Blugolds in the 49th minute after she connected with a free kick into the box off the foot of Monica Zoellner
• Following the UW-Eau Claire goal, Loras responded right away, earning two corner kicks and recording a series of three shots inside a four-minute window

Mills struck for the first Duhawk goal late in the opening half to give her team momentum heading into the halftime break. Her aggressive nature created numerous opportunities for Loras in the final third.
