CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's volleyball had a less than ideal start to its American Rivers Conference opener on Tuesday, falling to Coe in three sets. As a team, the Duhawks were held to a .038 attack percentage, while their counterparts finished at .289.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• In the first set, a kill by Lindsey Koch forced a tie-breaker between the two opponents… Coe refused to back down and took the first set 30-28
• The offense slightly picked up in the second set for Loras, as it did for the Kohawks … While the Duhawks hit .103, Coe fired away 13 kills without an error for a .464 attack percentage … The Kohawks went on a 5-0 run late in the second set before winning, 25-12
• In the third and final set, Coe started with a pair of service aces …The Duhawks battled back to 17-all, but three errors sealed their fate and the Duhawks fell to the Kohawks,25-17
