DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's volleyball team bounced back from a loss to ninth-ranked Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday morning to defeat North Central in three, improving to 8-1 this season.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• The Duhawks and Gusties showcased a highly-competitive battle, with each team flexing its muscle and ability throughout all four sets
• In the end, it was Gustavus Adolphus who connected and maintained momentum in the key moments down the stretch

Jenna LaCorte finished with a double-double, totaling 14 digs and 11 kills ... Even with the loss, Loras totaled more kills, assists, blocks and digs than the Gusties
• In the final match of the weekend, the Duhawks soared high and above the Cardinals, winning in three

Kayla Kinney recorded a double-double, totaling 13 kills and 10 digs
• As a team, Loras finished with eight service aces, bringing the weekend total to 35, good for an average of 2.5 per set
NOTABLES
• The 8-1 mark to start the season matches the start of the 2008 squad ... That season, the Duhawks started 12-2 before a 16-match winning streak that spanned from Oct. 11 to Nov. 13.
