Clutch Free-Throws Secure Win Against Coe

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - Coming off a tough 18-point loss to #1 Nebraska Wesleyan, the Duhawks looked to turn the tide as they welcomed the Coe College Kohawks in a battle for second place in the A-R-C. In a game that saw 15 lead changes and 13 tie, Ryan DiCanio sunk two free throws with three seconds to play solidifying the 86-85 Duhawk victory. 

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Loras and Coe traded baskets to open the game seeing six lead changes and three tie games in the first 10 minutes of play
Jordan Boyd converted the strong and-1 finish after nearly putting the Kohawk defender on a poster
The Duhawks took their first substantial lead of the night with just over three minutes to play in the first half after going on a quick 11-2 run.
Coe opened the second half with a 15-2 run giving them their first lead since the first half.
The Kohawks took their final lead of the game with just over a minute to play after converting a contested layup
After turning the ball over down one with 30 seconds to play, Loras gathered in a Kohawk miss on a tough three-pointer with 10 seconds to play, giving the Duhawks one last opportunity for the win
With five seconds on the clock Ryan DiCanio received the ball and drove to the hole drawing two foul shots
Just like he did versus #3 Augustana, DiCanio stepped to the line and nailed both free throws to give Loras a one-point lead
The Kohawks had one final opportunity from the corner but their attempt was just wide as the Duhawks held on for their fourth conference victory of the season.
