STORM LAKE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - Fresh off his 1,000th point in a Duhawk uniform, Josh Ruggles put on a dazzling display Monday night, scoring 43 points to earn the Loras men's basketball team its 15th win of the season over Buena Vista, 75-74. Ruggles was 11-of-18 from distance, tying Jason Driscoll's all-time school record for 3-pointers in a game.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• Loras struggled to find a rhythm early and committed five offensive fouls in the first 15 minutes
• The Duhawks hit a cold streak early going 10-of-26 from the field in the first half
With time winding down, Ruggles nailed his fourth three of the game from the top of the key, tying the game at the break
• Ruggles came out of the halftime break on a mission, scoring 18 of the Duhawks' first 21 points
• Demond George knocked down both of his free-throws at the 4:17 mark, only to have the Beavers respond with a layup of their own to take back the 67-66 lead
• With 3:09 to play, Ruggles knocked down his 10th 3-pointer of the night
• Moments later Ruggles faded to the wing and hit his 11th three, tying Jason Driscoll's school record from the 1998 season, giving the Duhawks a 75-67 lead late
• Despite being held scoreless for the final 2:34 of the game, the Duhawks managed to hold on for the one-point win
