HIRAM, Ohio (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's volleyball team made it six out of six to start its 2019 season on Saturday, disposing of Concordia Wisconsin and St. John Fisher by identical 3-0 margins.
Jake Chudzik was a force to be reckoned with, totaling 21 kills over the two matches.

• Leading 12-11 in the opening set, the Duhawks went on a tear with
Ian Walsh at the service line, ripping off seven consecutive points to take the 19-11 lead … Three of the final four points for Loras came off the block

• With five wins in their last five outings, the Duhawks wasted no time swining the momentum in their against St. John Fisher, running out to a 17-8 lead … Despite conceding nine of the next 16 points, Loras held on for the opening win
• The second set did not host a significant run for either side, but the Duhawks kept the pressure on and maintained a comfortable gap for the duration of the set
• With the Cardinals on the ropes, Loras took it to them one more time, opening a sizable gap at 14-8 with a 5-0 run
