October 19, 2019 - The Loras College men's soccer team defeated Simpson College 4-0, Saturday night in the Rock Bowl. The Duhawks halted the Storms' 4-0, American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) streak with tonight's victory.

Loras held a 20-13 shot advantage, with twelve of the shots being on goal. Duhawk keepers Jack Monson and Jesse Buffington finished with a combined four saves. Buffington tallied one save while Monson recorded three saves to end the night. 

Manny Lopez opened up the scoring for Loras slotting a goal just 29 seconds into the game. Lopez secured the brace in the 20th minute thanks to the give-and-go from Tigrio Huerta. 

Huerta scored a goal of his own in the 49th minute, sending a free-kick from the top of the eighteen. Anthony Berardi scored his first goal of the season with just three minutes remaining in regulation. 

The Duhawks return to action Wednesday, Oct. 23 as they host the University of Dubuque Spartans. First kick is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
