PELLA, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - Following a rain delay No. 9 Loras (9-3-1, 1-1 A-R-C) dropped a 3-2 match against Central College (10-1-1, 2-0 A-R-C), Saturday evening, at the Kuyper Athletics Complex.
The Duhawks held an advantage in shots (19-17) and corner kicks (4-3). Loras forced five saves from the Dutch keeper.
Tigrio Huerta helped
Tiernan Talbot secure his second goal of the season as he open up the scoring in the 12th minute to give Loras the 1-0 lead.
Central knotted it up in the 13th minute when Nathan Casas found the net and seized a 3-1 lead eighteen minutes later following goals from Tony Cervelli and Matthew West.
Mark Histed assisted
Raudel Fierro in slotting one past the keeper in the 88th minute but it wasn't enough as Central won 3-2.
Loras returns to action next week, hosting Luther College (Wednesday, Oct. 9) and Buena Vista (Saturday, Oct. 12).
