No. 22 Duhawks Complete Comeback Over Kohawks

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - It was a tale of two halves for the No. 22 Loras men's basketball team. The Duhawks caught fire in the second half, shooting 62 percent from the floor to win 74-71 over Coe.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• The Duhawks struggled to find a groove early as they were held scoreless for the first three and a half minutes before Jordan Matthews connected on a 3-pointer
• Loras continued to struggle the entirety of the first half shooting 6-of-27 and taking a six-point deficit into the half … Jordan Boyd was the lone bright spot with 13 of his 19 points coming in the half
• Just past the eight minute mark in the second half, Josh Ruggles knocked down both ends of his one-and-one to give Loras their first lead of the game
• Following back-to-back free throws by Coe to tie the game at 63, Ruggles found a slashing Jordan Boyd for the two handed flush
• Demond George sealed the Duhawk victory with clutch free-throw shooting, hitting 7-of-8 free-throws down the stretch

NOTABLES
• Boyd recorded his second career double-double
• George (977) is 23 points away from becoming the 43rd Duhawk to join the 1,000 Point Club
• Ryan DiCanio is 12 rebounds away from passing Jeff Carter as Loras' fifth all-time rebounder
• The Duhawks out rebounded Coe by 10
• Loras' bench scored 25 points while the Kohawk bench was responsible for six points
• With two games remaining in the regular season, the Duhawks have clinched its place in the conference tournament, however seeding has yet to be finalized with Loras a game ahead of Wartburg
