Duhawks Secure Fourth Win of the Season Over Juniata

LAKELAND, Fla (Duhawks.com) - The Duhawks continued their spring trip to Florida on Sunday, and came away with their fourth victory of the season. Loras defeated Juniata College 9-2 at the historic Henley Field. Luke Fennelly led the Duhawks offensively by going 2-for-3 with two walks and a 3-run homerun. Loras moves to 4-0 on the season.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• After no runs scored in the first two innings, Austin Konagel singled in Joe Egan for the first run of the ballgame
• The Duhawks added another run in the third inning as Fennelly scored on a fielder's choice by Cole Thompson
• Marshall Rice gave up an unearned run in the fourth inning as Juniata singled in a run, after a batter reached on error
• With the bases loaded in the 6th, Egan hit a sacrifice fly to score another Duhawk run.
• Two pitches later, Fennelly hit a ball over the fence and into the trees for a 3-run homer
• With runners on first and third, Thompson stole second base, and Konagel stole home on the throw
• Loras scored two more runs in the 8th inning on a ground out from Thompson with a runner on third, and a RBI single from Robbie Agerbeek to take a 9-1 lead
• In the 9th, Juniata scored on a wild pitch, but it wasn't enough for Juniata

NOTABLES
• Fennelly hit his first career home run for the Duhawks.
• Marshall Rice grabbed his first win of the season and his career.
• Ryan Wohlers came in relief, and pitched three innings to help the Duhawks to victory, while also picking up his first career save.
