CLERMONT, Fla. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras softball team opened its Florida trip with a split on Friday, dropping an extra-inning affair to SUNY-Potsdam, 4-3, before a 9-0 win over Worcester State.

Loras vs. SUNY-Potsdam
• The game was forced into extra innings after both teams were held scoreless through the first 7 innings.
• Both teams traded runs in the eighth to send it into the ninth inning.
• The Duhawks were led by Anderson who went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI while also scoring a run
• Anderson doubled to left to open up the scoring for the Duhawks while cutting the deficit to 2-1 … She then came around to score on a series of errors to tie up the game at 2-all

Emily Reilly and Kyleigh Becker led the Duhawks from the circle, combining for the nine-inning marathon
• While Loras scattered three hits from SUNY-Potsdam over nine innings, the nine walks proved to be the difference, with four walks coming in the final two innings

Lauren Fritz opened the scoring in the first for the Duhawks with a single through the left side to score
Noely Baumann
• The Duhawks tacked on another run in the second before exploding for seven runs in the third
• Masino came through for Loras as a pinch-hitter with a single up the middle to drive in two
• Lentine capped the scoring for the Duhawks in the third, singling to center and scoring Baumann and
Madison Franks
• Reilly and Bailey Monroe combined for the shutout and allowed one hit through five innings
NOTABLES
• Lentine recorded her 100th hit of her career in game two
• Fritz took another couple of steps closer to joining Lentine and Coyle this season in the century club as she now has 92 career hits
• The Duhawks were efficient in game two, scoring nine runs on six hits
