DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras College women's softball team swept Grinnell College in a double header. Loras defeated Grinnell in game one, 10-0 forcing a mercy rule, and 9-6 in game two.
Lauren Fritz hit the only home run of the day, a two-run home run.Â

• Grinnell struck first in the top of the first taking the 1-0 lead, Loras answered in the bottom with three runs from Baumann, Lentine, and Coyle
• The Pioneers equalized scoring two runs in the second to bring the score to 3-3
• Baumann stole home to put the Duhawks up by one
• Fritz two-run home run pushed the Duhawks lead to 7-3.
• Anderson scored a run after the Pioneer third baseman made an errorÂ
• Grinnell tallied three runs in the third, and the final run for Loras came from Baumann as she was batted in by Coyle.
• The game went seven innings but the last score was by Loras in the 5th, the Duhawks took the victory 9-6.Â
