STORM LAKE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Duhawks started the game on a slow start, and did not score until the top of the 6th against the Buena Vista Beavers.
Sam Marhefke led the Duhawks in a pitcher's dual by throwing seven complete innings with six strikeouts, and allowed only four runners to reach base. The Duhawks rallied late and came away with a 2-1 victory.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
-In the bottom of the 1st, Buena Vista got a runner to third, but could not score.
-The Beavers jumped up to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd on a RBI groundout that was set up by a wild pitch.
-The Duhawks answered in the top of the 6th with their first run of the game, as
Luke Fennelly scored from third base on a groundout by
Cole Thompson.

Joe Egan doubled to the right-center gap, and later scored off a RBI single from
