Another Late Comeback for the Duhawks to Beat Cornell

KISSIMMEE, Fla (Duhawks.com) - The Duhawks are still yet to score the first run of the game this season, but that did not stop them from coming away is their third win of the season. Loras defeated their former conference opponent, Cornell College, in a late comeback 9-7. After giving up seven runs, Julian Lopez came into the game to shut down the Rams in relief to help secure the Duhawk victory.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• An RBI single and a sacrifice fly allowed the Rams to jump out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning.
• With two outs in the bottom of the first, the Duhawks responded with a pair of runs of a rbi single from Jake Oglesby, and a bases loaded walk.
• Cornell jumped up to a 4-2 lead after scoring two runs in the top of the 2nd.
• Loras went down five runs in the 4th after allowing a 2-rbi triple, and allowing another run to cross the plate on a groundout, with a runner on third.
• Robbie Agerbeek hits a fly ball with the bases loaded and two outs that allowed two runs to score to start to Duhawk comeback.
• Loras tied the game after Dylan Pardoe scores on a wild pitch, and Ryan Wohlers smacks a rbi double.
• Joe Egan hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game at seven in the bottom of the 5th.
• The Duhawks came up big on the defensive end, by turning a double play to end the 6th, and then threw a runner out at the plate from deep center field in the 7th.
• With Pardoe standing on third, Egan hits a hard ground ball up the middle, that resulted in a groundout that advanced a run home.
• Agerbeek adds an insurance run, by scoring Cole Thompson on a single to right field.
