DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Duhawks extended their win streak to four games after completing a doubleheader sweep over the Simpson College Storm. Loras won game one 7-4, and game two 11-5.
Sam Marhefke threw 7.1 innings in game one to secure the victory.
Austin Konagel and
Cole Thompson led the Duhawks in game two as they both went 2-for-4.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED

-The Storm jumped out to a quick 1-0 by hitting a solo homerun to right center field.

Robbie Agerbeek put the Duhawks on the board in the 3rd on a bloop RBI single to score Konagel.
-Trailing 2-1, Loras put up four runs in the 5th inning by scoring on a passed ball, a sacrifice fly, and two RBI singles.
-Konagel hit a sacrifice fly in the 6th inning to help the Duhawks take a 6-2 lead.
-Simpson cut into the lead and only trailed by two in the 8th after scoring on an error and a ground out with a runner on third.
-Konagel added a RBI single in the bottom half of the inning to secure a 7-4 win.

-The Duhawks took a 2-0 lead early by scoring runs in the 2nd and 3rd inning.
-Simpson got the bats going in the top of the 5th and put up five runs on four hits.
-Loras responded with five runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning after a RBI double by
Danny Paluch, and a single by
Jake Oglesby.
-Loras added three more in the 7th on a double by Oglesby, a bases loaded walk, and reaching on an error.
