STORM LAKE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras College softball team traveled to Storm Lake, Iowa to face in-conference opponent Buena Vista in a double-header on Tuesday, April 16. The Duhawks fell in game one 5-4, and 8-0 in game two. Lauren Fritz lead the Duhawks with two RBI's.

Game 1: Buena Vista 5, Loras 4

• Loras struck first in the first inning when Lauren Fritz double to left center field batted in Shanon Coyle.
• Carroll of Buena Vista equalized with a homer to bring the score even at 1. 
• Fritz tallied her second RBI of the game in the third when she brought in Wubben. 
• The beavers gained a run in the third and the game remaining scoreless until it went in extra innings. 
• Maddie Doubek gave the Duhawks the 3-2 lead in the eighth inning hitting a double to bat in franks. 
• Coyle scored the last run for Loras in the ninth inning while the Beavers answered with two run to take the game 5-4. 

Game 2: Buena Vista 5, Loras 0 
• The Duhawks were held scoreless for the first four innings as the Beavers jumped out to a 5-0 lead. 
• Loras tallied three hits but weren't able to get any runner across the plate in the first four
• Buena Vista tallied three more runs in the fifth inning to go up 8-0 and end the game via mercy rule
