Duhawks Swept on the Road by the Kohawks

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Duhawks were outscored in both games of the doubleheader against #16 Coe College. Loras is currently in their second six game losing streak of the season with a 3-0 loss, and an 8-3 loss. Throughout the two games, the Duhawks racked up only nine hits which led to three total runs.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Game 1: Loras-0 Coe-3
-The Kohawks got on the board early in the 3rd inning on a RBI single to take a 1-0 lead.
-Coe struck again in the 5th on a 2-rbi double to lead 3-0.
-Loras got runners on base, but was unable to come up with timely hitting.

Game 2: Loras-3 Coe-8
-Loras struck first in game two on a 2-rbi double by Robbie Agerbeek to score Austin Konagel and Danny Paluch
-The Kohawks took the lead in the 3rd on a single, double, and triple that all scored a run.
-Leading 3-2, Coe extended their lead to 6-2 in the 5th inning.
-The Duhawks struck again in the 7th on a rbi groundout by Paluch with a runner on third.
-The Kohawks crossed two more in the home half of the 7th on a two-run homerun.

NOTABLES
-Loras falls to 6th place in the American Rivers Conference standings.
-Chris Costantino made his first start of his career in the purple and gold uniform.
-The Duhawks struck out a total of 20 times during the doubleheader.
