Duhawks Take One of Three From Luther

DECORAH, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - "Twenty-four years of coaching, and I've never had a dugout with the type of energy you all had today," head coach Carl Tebon said in the post game team meeting. The Duhawks fell to the Luther Norse in games one and two of the series, but came back full of energy in game three. Dylan Pardoe led Loras over the weekend by hitting 6-for-11 with a walk and two runs driven in.

-The Norse added another run in the 2nd inning on a bases loaded walk.
-It took until the top of the 5th for the Duhawks to score after Jake Oglesby grounded out with Pardoe on third.
-Luther score again in the 8th on a RBI single to claim the win.

Game 2: Loras-0 Luther-3

-Luther scored again in the bottom half of the 5th to put the team up 3-0.

-The Duhawks added one more in the 2nd, and another in the 3rd on a RBI double by Oglesby and a RBI single by Pardoe.
-Cole Thompson added a RBI in the 5th followed by a 2-RBI single by Agerbeek to put Loras up 6-0 which forced a pitching change.
-Luther got on the board in the bottom of the 5th on a RBI single and two sacrifice flies.
-Trailing 7-3, the Norse brought the game closer by scoring two in the home half of the 7th.
-Loras added an insurance run in the top of 9th due to an error.

-Erik Edminster started on the mound in game two and made it through seven innings for the third time this season.
-Ryan Wohlers made his first start on the mound in a Loras uniform in game three.
-Tanner Fallon picked up his third save of the season in the 8-5 win.
