Sept. 24, 2019 – The Loras College women's tennis team battled back to claim wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles against Luther College on Tuesday, but ultimately fell 7-2 to the Norse.
Luther (5-1, 5-0 A-R-C) took a 3-0 lead after doubles play and continued to prove challenging for Loras in singles action. The Norse claimed wins at the No. 1, 2, 3, and 4 positions but
Isabel Schwabe added a win for Loras at No. 5 singles, defeating Anna Spencer 6-0, 6-1 and
Noely Baumann took Kylie Dunning to the tiebreaker at No. 6 singles, emerging victorious by scores of 6-4, 5-7, 10-4.
Loras (7-1, 5-1 A-R-C) faces its next toughest American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) opponent on Saturday, Sept. 28, traveling to Cedar Rapids to play Coe College at 1 p.m.
