CLINTON, Iowa (Sept. 8, 2019) – The Loras College men's tennis team did not have the start to the fall season it hoped for on Saturday as inclement weather forced the Duhawks to play indoors rather than at home and fell 6-3 at the hands of the Illinois Wesleyan University Titans (1-0).

The Titans took a 2-1 advantage after doubles play with Loras' sole win coming at the No. 2 position from Sean Gelski and Tommy Linkenheld. In singles, it was Gelski and Linkenheld again who scored wins for the Duhawks with Gelski winning in the tiebreaker 3-6, 6-2, 11-9 at No. 5 singles and Linkeheld winning 6-1, 7-6 at the No. 6 spot.

The Duhawks play host for the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championship beginning on Friday, Sept. 20 in Waterloo, Iowa.
