CHICAGO, Ill. (Feb. 15, 2020) – The Loras College women's tennis team rallied back from a 3-0 deficit after doubles play to score three wins against Roosevelt University on Saturday, but the Duhawks came up short and surrendered a 6-3 decision to the Lakers.

At No. 2 singles, Isabel Schwabe defeated Grace Hahn 6-4, 6-1 and Noely Baumann also defeated Jasmine Adbunaim at the No. 5 spot, 6-1, 6-4. Mariana Bayona-Paez took Ava Collins to the tiebreaker at No. 6 singles, winning the first set 6-4 and taking the tiebreaker 10-8 after Collins claimed the second set 6-2.

The Lakers swept doubles action and took wins at No. 1, 3, and 4 singles to win the match.

The Duhawks' next match is scheduled for Feb. 23 when Loras travels to Winona, Minn. to play St. Mary's University.
