Oct. 15, 2021 - The Loras College men's soccer team (7-6-2, 2-2-1 A-R-C) played host to regional foe University of Wisconsin - Platteville (9-2-2) Friday night at the Rock Bowl. The Duhawks battled through the full 90 minutes of regulation but the Pioneers held off the Duhawks' pressure to take the game 1-0. 

The lone goal of the game came in the 38th minute on a throw in that fell at the feet of Platteville's Jacob Keller to put the Pioneers up 1-0, seeing neither side find the back of the net in the second half. 

The Duhawks out shot the Pioneers 19-15 with seven shots on goal to Platteville's four. Reed Miklavcic led the Loras attack with four shots in the game with three reaching net while Juan Jose Arias Mondragon rifled off three shots of his own. 

Loras is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 20 as they travel to Waverly, Iowa to take on the Wartburg College Knights in an American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) bout. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 PM start at Salzwedel Field.
